There is Big Money behind this pervasive, widespread assault on transgender people. It is cleverly crafted and orchestrated; intended to be the defining wedge issue that splits apart a broad coalition of progressive thought and grassroots activism.

The proposed ban on (LGB-Only) conversion therapy ban has been permitted, because once again, it has been kicked into the long grass. Once the brouhaha is over, it will once again be rescinded. There was never a plan to see the ban through to completion, because the money men behind the Tories know that the more they can divide and split the general population, the easier it will be for them to extend the remit of their power and dominance.

Yeah, sure - LGB and Transgender issues are on the table now, but how long do we really expect it to stop at those two designated groupings?

The reactionaries, hard-core crypto-fascists, have been itching to roll back civil / progressive rights, since their inception and up to their gaining ascendancy in the public consciousness.

I am astounded that a few malignant, metastasizing foreign media barons are able to exert so, so, much influence over a pliant, obedient and innately subservient blob as the ill-informed, ill-educated and semi-literate mass population. There again, should I really be that surprised?
