It is strange, because I never bought any ‘feminine’ items of clothing until I’d been on HRT for 11 months, whereas many people start out with it long before they ever actually do HRT?

As regards pantyhose - they work well with dresses and skirts; I have a few of them myself, but I rarely wear them. I prefer leggings which are much more durable and longer lasting.

I grew up in an era in which pantyhose (we call it Tights in the UK), were pretty much essential as a dress accessory.

It is true, many women don’t wear them now, probably because of how the media / entertainment complex have imbued it with undue sexual connotation.

Oh, and they tear pretty easily, which makes having leggings a better option as they’re so much more durable.

Part of my transition is that I wanted to blend in as much as possible, which meant following common fashion consensus for people in my age bracket.
