Interesting take on the evolving sensibilities of comedy; there is a clear trajectory from the low-brow ‘70’s ‘humour’ to the pivot towards satire and critique of the dominant power structures. I cant help but feel, however, that any newly-emergent radical perspective must inevitably succumb to subsumption and commoditisation by that very self-same dominant faction within those structures..
