I'm not sure you need to worry too much; if you were go down a medical route, e.g. HRT, it is highly unlikely to have any enduring physical impact on you that would be discernible by anyone.

I've been at it 2.5 years (nearly), and it has done nothing for me and, notwithstanding all the other genetic deficiencies of my "family", there is no reason why I should have struck particularly unlucky in all this.

So, you can explore and experiment for a long while, safe in the knowledge that whatever changes may occur, will be undetectable by those around you or even strangers that you meet for the first time.

As regards surrendering 'male privilege', well, to be honest, although I have spent the vast majority of my life as a male, there was no male privilege to speak of; I was just treated as a queer/gay and dunked down upon accordingly - by all sections of society.

You really not fear being identified as a member of a despised minority on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, unless you choose to spread it about.
