I think that maybe, just maybe, a large part of the anti-Transgender sentiment emanates from a certain kind of man who is inordinately addicted to - shall we say - the various and assorted Netflix and YouTube “alternative” streaming services?

They try to bury their guilt and self-loathing under a patina of pseudo-scientrific invective intended to distance themselves from their own desires, as well as try to silo and isolate us from mainstream discourse.

One only has to look at the toxic invective of the Evangelical and Catholic backers behind the Gender Critical movement, who are busily extrojecting their own dark desires onto an already marginalised and excluded minority.

A recent article in Prism & Pen, by renowned writer James Finn highlights the disconnect between extant orthodox rhetoric and the way that the Catholic institutional / establishment actually regards abusive, non-consensual sex between fully grown men “priests” and children “choir boys”. They see homoesexuality as the greater sin that actual, full-blooded child abuse.

It terrifies me to realise that the gender critical discursive narrative seems to be headed in that very direction itself.
