His work is the go-to reference for what is known as the 'gender critical' movement, which positions *ALL* transgender people as predators and a potential threat to women and girls.
His work is very retrograde, very judgemental and totally ignores that it is his toxic, family/patriarchy-oriented society that forced most of us into abject self-loathing and repression.
I tried to transition very, very late and have failed abysmally.
Hearing the lucky, younger early transitioners being so dismissive of me and my kind forces a re-evaluation of how I would contemplate advancing the cause ...
Being barely tolerated in 'trans' spaces isn't quite what I had in mind, but people are judgemental and nasty, that is just human nature. Being barely accommodated as an outlier freak was never a career ambition of mine ...
If ugly, non-passing 'troons' such as myself are being thrown under the bus by the feminine, attractive early transitioners to appease the hateful cis-hets (much good that it will do them), then due to my non-passing status, I can live AGAB and simply watch the fireworks display. One upside of my failed transition is that nobody need ever know that I took hormones, that I tried to make the transition but failed. There's a lot of bitterness and resentment about that, because my early life was characterised by being victimised because I was thought to be 'gay'. I've lost count of the jobs I did not get, the jobs I was bullied out of and the low status and consequent low self-esteem that entailed.
I'm almost looking forward to it; I have nothing else to live for.
