Don't you think that maybe, there's an element of "Stockholm Syndrome" going on here? We are all socialised to fit into the dominant narrative; nobody is immune.

I think it is also worth emphasising that the majority of men do not actually benefit from the patriarchal system that places men such as Donald Trump and his male appointees to SCOTUS above us all? Men collude in their own oppression, so mis-directing against women doesn't really help.

The only benefit that most men get from the current system of dominance and control, is that they get to indulge misogyny against women and to police each other's gender expression and sexuality; which then goes on to serve the dominants at the top.
